  • Are we allowed to extend the party room time?
    • Party bookings are generally 2 hours maximum. However, if you wish to add more party room time it is only possible if your booking is at the start or end of the day. Extra time can only be added to end of the last booking of the day (Saturdays and Sundays), or the beginning of the first booking of the day (Sundays only)
      • Ex. 10:00-12:00pm Sunday booking can be extended to 9:00am-12:00pm
      • Ex. 4:00-6:00pm Saturday booking can be extended to 4:00-7:00pm
  • Can we extend the play gym time?
    • Gym time cannot be extended as any alterations with the gym schedule will interfere with other bookings and activities.
    • If you would like to have additional gym time, you may do so by booking two party slots.
  • What if I want to have the gym on Saturdays?
    • The gym is not available on Saturdays as it is being used by Thunderbird Programs.
    • If the gym play area is a must have for your party, we recommend booking a Sunday Party Package.
    • Another option is our package one offers the Multipurpose Room with a set-up of our Small Bouncy Castle, toys and cars.
  • Can I put up decorations in my party room?
    • Yes! You can set up decorations in your party room, however, we ask that you avoid putting tape, or other adhesives, on any mirrors or windows, and to use non-marking tape so it won’t damage the paint on the walls.
  • What happens if I don’t have enough table covers?
    • We offer plain white table covers for $1.00 per table, which you could be requested on the day of your party if you realized find out you are short a few table covers. Please bring exact change.
  • Is 15 minutes enough time for set up and clean up?
    • Surprisingly yes! When you arrive 15 minutes prior to your party time, we will have all the tables and chairs set up for you.
      • For set up, all you really need to do is transport your food into the rooms. In terms of setting up table covers and decorations, we have Party Leaders who will assist you during set up so you will be ready to start after 15 minutes!
      • For clean up, all you need to take care of is packing away your food and presents, as well as biding your guests goodbye. We will take care of the rest of the clean up!
  • Will I be able to book multiple bookings?
    • Yes you can! For those who wish to have a longer party, you can book back to back party packages! However, please be aware that the gym times are set and cannot be moved so you won’t be able to have back to back gym times.
      • Ex. 10:00-12:00pm + 12:30-2:30pm combined booking in the Family Activity Room and Games room Plus Gym time (Gym time: 10:00-11:00am & 12:30-1:30pm)
  • How do the extra service add-ons work?
    • All extra services operate for approximately 30 minutes to 45 minutes and are led by our Party Leaders.
      • For balloon twisting, face painting, and carnival services, there is a limit of 2 items per child. For the Photobooth service, there is a limit of 2 prints per photo, however, we recommend bringing a USB storage drive so we’re able to provide you with digital copies of the photos taken.
  • What if I want to add extra services, later on?
    • You can definitely decide on adding extra services closer to your party date.
    • We must be notified at least 1 week in advance of your party date in order to schedule appropriate staffing.
    • The fee for extra services can be paid, at the latest, at the beginning your party when you arrive. Please note all subsequent transactions after booking your party must be paid in cash.
  • Can we pay with Credit Card or Debit Interac?
    • Thunderbird Community Centre now accepts credit and debit.
      • Payments can be done by cash, cheque (more than 5 weeks prior to the party date), and credit/debit during opening hours.
  • How much is the deposit?
    • There is no deposit fee. Once you pay the party package fee, the booking is yours.
  • How do we finalize and reserve our party booking?
    • Once you decide on the party date and party package, the next step is to come by Thunderbird Community Centre to fill out the registration form (you can download the form above and fill it out ahead of time) and to pay for your party package. This process is completed at the office during our office hours (please refer hours of operation for office hours).
  • Can I drop off table covers?
    • Yes, but it is limited to few days prior to your Birthday Party date.
    • Table covers can be dropped off at the front office with the following information:
      • The date of the party
      • Name of the child
      • Party time
    • Feel free to leave further directions if you have specific colors for the guest tables versus food tables.
