Registration In-person
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express or debit cards, cash, and cheques.
Registration by Phone
On-going registration by phone is available during office hours at 604-713-1818. Have your course numbers and credit card information ready for processing. Some programs cannot be registered through the telephone, as proof of catchment must be shown in-person at the Community Centre.
Refunds & Cancellations
Courses are cancelled when too many people wait until the last minute to register. We need a minimum number enrolled before a class will run. Programs may be cancelled during the session due to unforeseen circumstances and instructors may change during the program session. Refunds will be provided for any cancelled program or program dates made by the Community Centre.
Refunds must be received by the Front Office in-person or by phone. Refund requests received through e-mail will not be processed.
Deadlines and Fees
Refund requests must be made prior to the 2 days prior to the second class. Any requests after the deadline will be accommodated with a medical note. There is an administrative charge of $4 applied to all refund requests and $2 to all transfer requests, with the exception of Day Camp and Birthday Parties (see below). Refunds will be pro-rated after the completion of the first lesson. Refunds under $5.00 will be issued as credits.

Applications for Leisure Access Cards are available online. If you have a current membership in the Leisure Access Program, Thunderbird Neighbourhood Association will provide 50% off one program, per person, per season.
This discount can not be retroactively applied.
Should you require more information contact the LAP office at lap@vancouver.ca.
Financial Assistance
All programs at Thunderbird Community Centre are subsidized and the fees are set at the lowest reasonable rates. As well, the Thunderbird Board of Directors has a policy to assist those living in the Thunderbird area who cannot afford the advertised price of specific programs or activities. This support is made possible by the fundraising efforts of many. Please email or inquire at the front office for further subsidy information.
Other Policies
Missed Classes
Many of our programs are subsidized and have waitlists. For this reason, we may withdraw a participant from a program when they have missed three consecutive classes. This allows for another person to have the opportunity to join the program.
Parental/Guardian Responsibility / Late Pick-Up Fee
All children under 10 years old are required to have parental/guardian (16 yrs or older) supervision, when not attending a registered Thunderbird program. The staff at Thunderbird are not responsible for children left unattended after programs have finished. Parents/guardians are responsible for picking up their children as soon as their programs have ended. There will be a late fee per child of $1 each minute for a late pick up.
Brochure Pictures
We often take pictures of participants enjoying our programs & use their pictures in marketing materials such as our website and program guide. Please let the staff or instructor know if you do not wish to have your child’s picture taken.
NSF Cheques
An administrative fee of $35.00 will be charged for a returned cheque.
